Spring 2010 President's Message I would like to thank everyone for supporting me and giving me the privilage of representing you as President of the BC&YUKON Br. We have our work cut out for us. We are prepared and have a great team. Carolyn Elliott is our new Vice President. She served as a Director for the past 3 years. Carolyn is a very dedicated soul and will do everything she can to help you or find answers for you. Carolyn serves as my memory on many occasions as well. Susan Argotoff is returning as our Secretary-Treasurer. Not an easy task for sure. Susan keeps track of us and makes sure our bills are paid and is a great asset to our Branch. The Kooteneys members enjoy having such a knowledgable officer in their area. Susan is also taking on the daunting task of WCB along with Leslie Ainslie. Leslie Ainslie, well what can I say about her? Truthfully she is a very enjoyable part of our team. We enjoy her humour and her dedication as well. She is returning as well for another term as director. Leslie and Susan will be taking more training this year to help them with their WCB cases. Dawn McKersie is our newly elected director. The competition was fierce. We had many very competent and eager members running for this position. Dawn will be taking directors training in July. In the meantime please feel free to call Dawn. If she can't answer your questions right a way, she knows how and where to find them for you. As you may not know, CPAA has decided to elect only 2 directors to the board instead of the previous 3. This decision will be voted on in October at our National Triennal Meeting in Winnipeg. Our Branch looks forward to our next three years in serving you. Sonja Lemay retired from the Branch and CPC. We will miss her and wish her the best in her retirement. Happy Paddleing Sonja!
